| Home | Right after the surgery The vet had told me that I didn't need to restrict his movements but I was worried he'd do something stupid or that he would hide somewhere and I wouldn't be able to give him his pills so I blocked him in the kitchen. I gave him a special smaller litterbox so that he wouldn't have to lift his legs as much to get in or out of the regular litterbox. I also needed to keep Clinton away from my other cat, Kodak, because they seemed to hate eachother. They were hissing at each other every time they spotted one another. When Clinton first got home from the vet he was desperate for attention. I picked him up on his first day back from the vet and set him down beside me on the couch. He barely moved and I was really worried. He obviously could move because when he had to he did but he seemed to hesitate to move very much. He didn't seem to be in pain but just desperately wanted to cuddle with me on the couch. He purred and seemed happy to just lay there all evening. The next day I locked him up again in the kitchen while I went to work. By the third day I was letting him have the run of the house again. He and Kodak avoided eachother for the most part but didn't fight or have any major problems. Clinton took up residence in the bedroom almost immediately and somehow managed to get himself on the bed. I have no idea how a cat that could barely walk managed to hop onto the bed but he found a way.
